A Murder mystery where your actions matter….

You play as Detective S, who has been stranded on the side of a mountain for the night. S stumbles upon a mansion, and soon finds that they are part of a party full of colourful characters, such as the eccentric Willem, the owner of the mansion. S soon finds out that not all the guests are friends, and there is plans for murder. But who is going to do it? Who is going to be the victim? When will the murder happen? Well… thats all up to you, as your actions directly effects who lives… and who dies.

The game is the final project for my capstone course computer science 406 at the University of Saskatchewan. During the project I was selected to be project lead, managing a team of 5 programmers, 1 technical lead, 1 design lead, 1 testing lead and 1 artist. It was my job to delegate jobs, make decisions about what needs to be implemented and cut, facilitate and organize team meetings and present our work at biweekly stand ups. I also took time to help program, design gameplay, design UI and test when it was needed.

During the project I learned many practical skills, such as organizing, planning, decision making, leadership and effective management skills in a small team setting, I also learned about indie game and small software project development flow, with having to attend and run weekly standup meetings, meeting tight deadlines and presenting work.
